
Manchester Area Conference of Churches
Manchester Area Conference of Churches, now MACC Charities, was established on January 19, 1973, by 14 area churches, and has grown to be Manchester's primary social services agency. MACC serves residents of the towns of Manchester and Bolton and is the state's largest private, nonprofit social services agency located east of the Connecticut River. Currently the conference consists of 36 area churches, including St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Emanuel Lutheran Church and Concordia Lutheran Church. MACC employs a dedicated staff of professionals and relies on 75 to 100 volunteers each week to fulfill its mission. Every day, 365 days a year, MACC provides needed social services to the community.
