Who We Are

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church is a warm, welcoming and diverse community of faith. We come from many different backgrounds, but we are united by a desire to live Christian lives, to grow spiritually and to show God’s love to others in all we do. We are a family oriented parish;  loving each other, supporting each other in difficult times and rejoicing together at times of joy.

The Episcopal Church has a rich tradition. All of our services are based on the time-honored and beautifully written Book of Common Prayer. Yet, at St. Mary’s, the tone of services varies from the formality and solemnity on the highest holy days to informal summer services—some of which are held on the lawn.  St. Mary’s is one of over 150 parishes that comprise the Episcopal Church in Connecticut (www.episcopalct.org). The Episcopal Church USA is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

We welcome guests and visitors and have special inquirers sessions to help new folks feel at home here and learn more about St. Mary’s, the Episcopal Church and the Christian faith.
